Hi, my name is Linda and I get called Loo. Since this is my first post I figured I would tell you a bit about me. I am a middle aged mother of three children & three step children, with 10 grand children. I have been married for 20 years this year & work fulltime in a very stressful environment.
My family had always been my main focus so when they all start to fly the coup. I didn't cope very well. My life had always been about them. So one day a friend said to me "you need a hobby, go paint a picture" my response was "I can't paint". And so the challenge began and I decided to give it ago.
At that time I was a single parent and the thought of going out and learning to paint was scary. So, I pulled up my big girl pants and joined a painting group. The group opened up a social society that I felt safe in, and over time I developed a love for painting and I got to unleash the creative inner child. (abstract art is great)
It's been 20ish years since I picked up a paint brush and I am still passionate about painting and the effects it has on me. Its great therapy (Art Therapy)
So, this year I am decided its time for a change and become the fulltime artist, therapist, and teacher. So join me at a Sip n Paint classes this September in the Swan Valley. Come, socialise, paint, relax and have fun with friends and other like-minded people like you.
So I hope one day you join me at a class for some socialising.
